Anti - Ragging Cell

The SC/ST Cell was established in the college to co-ordinate in the implementation of the various policies and programmes launched by the Central Government, MHRD, UGC and State Government for the benefit of the SC/ST students.

A Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) committee in a college is responsible for ensuring the welfare of students from these communities, and for addressing their challenges. Some of the responsibilities of an SC/ST committee include:

  • The committee can raise awareness about anti-discrimination laws, caste discrimination, and scholarships.

  • The committee can provide support in the form of extra coaching, remedial classes, and career orientation programs.

  • The committee can address grievances and complaints of discrimination.

  • The committee can ensure that students from these communities have equal opportunities in education and receive their due scholarships and benefits.

  • The committee can work to create a safe and inclusive environment for students from these communities.

  • The committee can coordinate the implementation of policies and programs for the benefit of SC/ST students.
